How the winner is designated on Viatous

No draw, no luck: the fastest correct answer wins. The result is 100% deterministic and recomputable by anyone.

1. 1. You answer, against the clock — Each participation answers a multiple-choice question. Your response time is measured server-side, to the millisecond — impossible to falsify.
2. 2. Everything is frozen at close — At closing, every participant's answers and times are frozen by a cryptographic fingerprint (SHA-256). Nothing can be altered afterwards.
3. 3. Fastest correct wins — Designation is deterministic: the fastest correct answer wins the item (on a millisecond tie, the earliest one). No draw, no randomness.
4. 4. Verifiable by everyone — From the frozen answers and times, anyone recomputes the same winner and checks their own.

The fingerprint of answers and times is frozen at close, before any designation: any tampering would be immediately detectable.
