Product Value: What Matters in a Competition

Brands & Partners · Équipe Viatous · 3 min

In a Viatous competition, a product's value is not limited to its price. Its desirability, presentation, features and the way it fits into the competition experience also matter.

A clearly stated value

Each competition page presents information including the product, its characteristics, brand, visuals and stated value.

This information allows participants to quickly understand how the product is positioned before entering.

Desirability matters too

A very expensive product is not automatically more attractive than a less expensive one. Its appeal may depend on usefulness, design, rarity, premium positioning or popularity.

A clearly identifiable product that matches participant expectations may generate more interest than a higher-value product whose purpose is less obvious.

Product presentation makes a difference

Strong visuals, a clear description and well-presented features help participants understand what is being offered.

The competition page should make the product's appeal easy to understand without overwhelming participants with unnecessary information.

Products offered with partner brands

Viatous competitions are organised around products offered with partner brands. Participants do not list their own goods for sale.

The product may be provided by the partner brand or acquired by Viatous under the agreement concluded with it.

The entry price is separate from the product value

The price of a paid entry is displayed on the competition page. Some competitions are available from €0.50 per entry.

This amount is the price of entering the competition and is not the purchase price of the product.

Product value does not determine the winner

Whatever the product, the ranking is based on performance during the challenge.

Each entry gives access to a course involving bubbles to tap, a path to trace and then a general knowledge question.

Only entries that complete the challenge and answer correctly within the applicable time limits are ranked. Among them, the entry with the best total time wins the product, subject to the checks provided for in the competition rules.

An experience built around the product

For a partner brand, an attractive product is therefore one that is well presented, easy to identify and desirable enough to make participants want to discover the competition.

The stated value informs the participant; the competition experience creates engagement around the product.
