Before a product is handed over, Viatous verifies the winner's identity and age. This step helps secure the handover process and ensures that the product is awarded to the eligible person.
Verifying the winner's identity
The verification confirms that the winner is the person associated with the selected entry and that they meet the eligibility requirements of the competition.
A false declaration, identity theft or the discovery that a participant is underage may result in the verification being refused and the relevant prize being reviewed.
A verification process adapted to each route
For a winner with a paid entry, identity verification is carried out through Didit from their personal account. A valid phone number is also required.
For a winner using the free entry route, identity verification and the collection of delivery details are handled directly by the Viatous team.
Protection against abuse
Identity verification is one of the measures used by Viatous to reduce fraud, false identities and attempts to bypass the competition rules.
It also helps secure the product handover and ensures that the information provided matches the actual recipient.
18 years old minimum
Viatous is reserved for people aged 18 or over who have the required legal capacity. Age and identity may be verified before a product is handed over or during other operations requiring checks.
