Skill Competitions: How the Ranking Works

How it works · Équipe Viatous · 4 min

On Viatous, the result of a competition is based on the performance achieved during the challenge. To be ranked, you must complete the different stages, answer the general knowledge question correctly and achieve an eligible total time.

A challenge made up of several stages

Each entry gives access to a challenge consisting of three stages: tapping the bubbles displayed on screen, tracing the requested path, and then answering a general knowledge question.

The time used to complete the course and the time needed to answer the question are added together to determine the entry's total time.

The correct answer is essential

Speed alone is not enough. Only entries that complete the challenge and answer the question correctly within the applicable time limits can be included in the ranking.

An incorrect answer or an expired time limit ends the relevant entry without an eligible result.

The best total time wins the product

After the competition closes, eligible entries are ranked according to their total time. The entry with the best time among the correct answers wins the product, subject to the checks provided for in the competition rules.

If two entries achieve the same time, the entry recorded first takes priority. If the tie remains, the entry numbers are used to determine the ranking.

A result based on predefined rules

The winner is not selected by a random draw. The ranking results from the performance achieved during the challenge and the tie-breaking rules defined for the competition.

Participants can view the status of their entry and the verification information made available by Viatous.

Why call it a skill competition?

The challenge requires precision, speed and a correct answer to a general knowledge question. The performance of each entry therefore determines its place in the ranking.

This is the principle behind Viatous competitions: complete the challenge, answer correctly and achieve the best total time.
