How Does a Viatous Competition Close?
How it works · Équipe Viatous · 4 min
The closing of a Viatous competition follows several defined stages. It marks the end of new entries, followed by the finalisation of results before the final ranking is established.
1. New entries stop
New entries stop being accepted when the planned paid-entry quota is reached or when Viatous closes the competition under the applicable conditions.
Free entries are not counted towards this quota.
2. Existing entries may still be completed
The end of new entries does not mean that all results are immediately finalised.
A period of at least 30 minutes takes place before results are finally closed. This allows existing entries that remain eligible to complete their challenge within the applicable time limits.
3. Results are then finalised
Once this period has ended, the results are finalised. It is then no longer possible to start or resume a challenge.
Only entries that completed the course and answered the question correctly within the applicable time limits can be included in the ranking.
4. Ranking is based on total time
The time used to tap the bubbles, complete the tracing stage and answer the general knowledge question is added together to determine each eligible entry's total time.
Among the correct answers, the entry with the best total time wins the product, subject to the checks provided for in the competition rules.
5. What happens in case of a tie?
If several entries achieve the same total time, the entry recorded first takes priority.
If the tie remains, the entry numbers are used to determine the ranking.
6. What if there are no correct answers?
If no entry provides an eligible correct answer, the competition is cancelled.
Paid entries are then refunded according to the applicable Viatous rules.
7. The result remains subject to verification
The ranking alone does not complete the product handover process. The result remains subject to the identity and eligibility checks applicable to the winner.
Once these steps have been completed, the product handover process can begin.
